Batu from Bristol has been shaping the British techno sound since 2014 with his label Timedance. As a producer and with his radio show A Long Strange Dream, he tends to explore slower, more experimental realms, whereas in his DJ sets, he fittingly focuses more on the dancefloor, presenting various global club sounds and shifting tempos, from drum and bass to techno. For this weekend's Klubnacht, he will be playing at Panorama Bar with fellow DJs whose brand of house is so deep, it's below sea level. In the late 80s, Chez Damier was crucial in founding the legendary club The Music Institute in Detroit. He did A&R work for KMS and co-founded Prescription with Ron Trent, the groundbreaking Chicago label that released iconic deep-house tracks such as “Morning Factory” in the mid-90s. Hailing from France, DJ Deep is a proponent of classic techno and house sounds, with his finger on the pulse of Chicago, Detroit and New York, whether in his club sets, on his label Deeply Rooted or in his radio shows.
