Ryskinder

Ryskinder takes the Middle East and puts it in a cement mixer with Nintendo and shamanism: extravagant sampling and vocal effects melt into an immersive Odyssee of power electronics, punk attitude, hip-hop beats with warm psych rock riffs.

Together with percussionist Miho Shimomura, founding member Asaf Eden jumps effortlessly between genres and takes the audience on a ride of oriental soundscapes, exploding low-fi groove and loopy Hebrew vocals.

Conceived as Eden’s one-man electro-psych band and subversive poetry output in 2005, Ryskinder's unique style and lyrical reflections has since been acclaimed for fundamentally influencing the Israeli music scene and language.

The Berlin-based artists’ seventh album is due out this summer, a preview of which will be given during this live show at Kantine.
