Your Love

For this edition of their series Your Love, Lakuti and Tama Sumo have invited two Brazilian DJs from Belo Horizonte. Despite having a hearing impairment, Kabulom began DJing and co-founded the club night TUMULTO, which explicitly explores Black perspectives in club culture. His style has been strongly influenced by his exposure to amapiano, kwaito and other South African club styles. DJ Omoloko is co-founder of the series 101Ø and regularly plays at European clubs and festivals. Characterized by Brazilian and African influences, his sets also draw on house, techno and disco. Together, they run Mathosa, a platform for club music that focuses on history, migration and cultural identity. Kabulom's appearance tonight is part of his first European tour.
