Over the years, Olf van Elden aka Interstellar Funk has made a name for himself as a selector who consistently resists categorization – whether solo or as part of Dekmantel Soundsystem. His productions and DJ sets are marked by a raw texture that often borrows from new wave and obscure electro, and hiis label Artificial Dance highlights music that captivates more through atmosphere and sound design than through classic song structures. At Panorama Bar, he will be joined by Jorge Caiado, a key figure on the Lisbon scene. Closely associated with the Groovement collective and the record store Carpets & Snares, Caido represents a rather nuanced interpretation of house, his style characterized by a deep knowledge of the Detroit school and a tendency toward warm, organic rhythms. You can also look forward to DJ sets by two exceptional DJs, Boo Williams and Maurice Fulton. At Berghain, you can hear New York DJ Auspex, who holds a residency at Club Basement in Queens, playing functional techno that rejects the usual monotony through the use of dense, often unpredictable percussive layers.
