Klubnacht

Spanish artist Eduardo de la Calle, whose discography spans over 25 years and more than 130 productions, often works beyond established structures. His releases on labels such as Planet E and his own imprint Analog Solutions reveal a hypnotic depth that typically integrates jazz structures and ambient textures into a strict techno framework. Often doing away with the massive layers of percussion common in current techno, he instead works with subtly modulated patterns and delay effects. His sound is a form of sci-fi jazz that, through reduction, creates an almost meditative effect – without losing its functionality for the club space. At Panorama Bar, this edition of Klubnacht features an artist whose aesthetic is deeply rooted in the British bass and house tradition: Since his early successes on labels such as Hypercolour and Aus Music, Huxley has cultivated a style that emphasizes swung drums and distinctive basslines. His productions, most recently the Mind G%mes EP on REKIDS, demonstrate a keen sense for classic house elements, which he translates into a modern and powerful sound.
