Æffective
- NowÆffective Choreography
Berlin based choreographer André Uerba experiments with putting on stage in “Æffective Choreography” a possible way of looking into intimacy, bodies and biographies. Inspired by his own experiences and observations, Uerba plays with the idea of rehearsing intimacy on stage while overlapping it with his training as a Sexological Bodyworker. His reflections are purely a mindset on the hidden or unsaid - a power force - a fire that can consume or forge. There’s nothing supernatural in the geographies of the bodies on stage: they are performing themselves, seeking to be in the present. The performance operates within boundaries: between sharing and withdrawing, movement and stillness, beauty and deception. How does your body feel today, in this time of velocity, violence and chaos?
